Qualifications Portal of the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena

The workshop deals with a grammar review (tenses, word order, noun compounds and verb combinations, prepositions and comparatives). Another emphasis is on pronunciation skills like sound work, individual sounds, connected speech, stress and intonation. Moreover, word power is increased by phrasal verbs and idioms, synonyms and antonyms, false friends and tricky translations as well as major differences between British and American English.
 
This workshop is not recommended for participants who have already spent some time in an English speaking country.
