courseFurtherInformation
Doing research, teaching, professional development, private arrangements, the family situation and last but not least working on the thesis: Young researchers quite often have the feeling that there is not enough time for import tasks. It seems difficult to manage heterogeneous demands and to reach results in time and under time pressure.
This workshop covers the basics of time and self-management. It is focused on reflecting upon your own goals critically, setting priorities, time management and role expectations. In addition to techniques of self-management we will concentrate on resources and conditions concerning the individual participants that will satisfy the demands of private life, possibly a family and a job. We will also analyse typical obstacles and discuss different work-life-models.
