Course further information

Learn to use the university provided Git platform.

This course will give you a foundational understanding of GitLab’s features. Its core functionality is collaborative and versioned management of projects that mostly work with plain text files, for example software source code or TeX based documents. Every change is recorded with information on authorship and a timestamp. With its built-in issue tracker and wiki, it can even be the right tool for managing a project without any files.

Based on the what you learn in this course, you can make informed decisions on how to use it as a tool.

During this course, learners will follow along the instructors’ demonstration, putting what they learn immediately into practice.

Even though GitLab was developed for managing Git repositories, it is not necessary to have previous experience with Git.

The course is taught in English.
