Course further information
As a scientist with programming experience, you will get to know the programming language Julia and its idiosyncrasies.
In this course we look at how to develop software using the Julia programming language. We cover the idiosyncrasies of Julia as a programming language, learn how a Julia project is typically structured, look at package management, mention a few important packages, and look at how to call software written in other programming languages from Julia.
The course language is English.

During the course you will type along, following the instructors, preferably on your own device. Therefore you need a working installation of Julia. Please reach out to us, if you need help installing Julia. If necessary, you can use computers provided at the workshop location, where all necessary software is already installed.
We assume that you have experience programming in general, but experience with Julia is not required.
