Description:
This workshop delves into the ethical and effective application of AI in academic work, from research and writing to studying. Focusing on ChatGPT and other AI tools, participants will learn to leverage AI for common tasks, including preparing for exams, organizing seminar readings, drafting essays, and more. Topics include:
  • AI-assisted writing support: Solve common issues in academic writing with ChatGPT (idea generation, text improvement, coherence checks, overcoming writer’s block, etc.).
  • AI for study support: Efficiently prepare for exams, organize seminar readings, and optimize learning strategies with AI assistance—while fostering a sense of responsibility for your learning journey. Participants will explore how to use AI as a tool to support and enhance their understanding, rather than simply delegating tasks without critical engagement.
  • Overview of diverse AI tools: Gain a broad understanding of various AI tools for research and study, exploring which tools are best suited for specific academic scenarios.
  • Ethical amd legal considerations: Learn responsible AI practices for academia, developing best practices for transparency and ethical usage.
Interactive exercises and case studies will allow participants to apply these concepts to real-life academic scenarios, fostering a practical understanding of AI’s role in both study and research contexts.
