Are you working on your PhD, but you don’t feel particularly productive? Or are you just getting started with the programme, wondering how to best tackle the following years in order to avoid night shifts and pressure at the end? The aim of this workshop is to enable you to use your time effectively and to avoid stress during your day-to-day PhD work. In practical exercises, you will find out how to allocate your time and personal resources to best match your individual situation.
 
Contents:
  • Introduction to central concepts and methods of time and self-management
  • Reflection of your goals, needs and possibilities
  • Dealing with disruptive factors and procrastination
  • Assistance in finding a suitable organisational structure
  • Assistance in adjusting your expectations for what a PhD thesis entails
