Umfang
According to the DFG, safeguarding good research practice includes considering the consequences of the research project already in the application phase and examining relevant ethical aspects (see "Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Research Practice - DFG Code of Conduct").  The European Commission also expects applicants to provide information on various ethical aspects already during the application phase (see Ethics table in H2020 proposals).
The workshop aims at scientists who are planning research projects in which ethical aspects play a role. On the one hand, various ethical aspects such as interviewing people, dual use, participation of non-EU countries will be examined in more detail. On the other hand, recommendations will be given on how these aspects can be adequately addressed during the application process and project implementation. The workshop also provides an overview of the support services offered by FSU Jena and other institutions.
