In this Carpentries certificate course you will learn about basic tools for digital research. These tools can help you to:
- automate repetitive, boring, error-prone tasks,
- create, maintain and analyze sustainable and reusable data,
- work effectively with IT-systems and colleagues,
- better understand the use of software in research,
- and much more.
By attending three courses on OpenRefine, Command Line and Git, you can earn a Library Carpentry Certificate. The Carpentries is an international non-profit organization that aims to teach basic data and software skills to support efficient, open, and reproducible research.
The Library Carpentry Certificate course consist of these three lessons:
- Data cleansing and quality improvement with OpenRefine, November 08 2022, 8-12 am
- Introduction to the Command Line, November 15 2022, 8-12 am
- Basic Version Control with Git: A Beginner's Workshop, November 22 2022, 8-12 am
The three courses can also be attended individually. In order to receive the Library Carpentry Certificate you have to attend all three lessons. In case you want to receive the certificate, please simply register for all three courses!
