Introduction to Julia for Programmers

As scientists with programming experience, you will get to know the programming language Julia and its idiosyncrasies.
In this course we look at how to develope Software using the Julia programming language. We cover the idiosyncrasies of Julia as a programming language, learn how a Julia project is typically structured, look at package management and mention a few important packages, and look at how to call into software written in other programming languages.
During the course you will type along, following the instructors, preferably on your own machine. Please reach out to us, if you need help installing Julia. If necessary, you can also use the on-site computers that have Julia preinstalled.
We assume that you have experience programming in general, but experience with Julia is not required
