Ignite your entrepreneurial spirit! In our two-day innovation workshop, tailored to researchers of all disciplines, you will discover your entrepreneurial skills. Guided by professional innovation coaches, you will develop ideas for a potential business case in small groups. Participation is free and no prior knowledge is needed.
Specifically, you will
- discover what it means to be an entrepreneur
- explore your entrepreneurial strengths
- reflect on the application potential of your research
- learn about design thinking
- explore the concepts of empathy and human-centred design
- and meet experienced role models from the region (this time: Patrick Westermann from the founding team of the Jena start-up DeepEn GmbH, winner of the Leibniz start-up prize 2025!).
The Young Entrepreneurs in Science (YES) workshop series has been developed by the Falling Walls Foundation and is taking place at different locations. Friedrich Schiller University Jena is a partner organisation and a certified "Young Entrepreneurs in Science Campus". This particular workshop will be facilitated by Kathrin Mengis (YES) and Kristin Hesche (K1 Gründungsservice at FSU Jena).
